I’ve taken courses that cost hundreds to learn how to build an automated flow in my chatbot so the fact that a few templates are offered out of the box in a text message format is ideal.
The library of sms templates is super helpful for any business owner. This way you can nurture customers at key points in the relationship.
You can send customers friendly cart reminders for price drop alerts or trigger an sms for abandoned carts. Your customers will see the sms and get excited about filling their shopping carts!
What I wish Klaviyo would change
In your account, you will see a variety of flows.
However, there are no flows that exist for
- Prevent lost sales
- Build customer loyalty
- Encourage repeat purchases
- Send order updates
Hopefully, the platform will build those flows in time, but I find it a bit disappointing that the flow idea exists but I have to build it myself. It would be nice if each flow had 1 template so I wouldn’t have to start from scratch.
The platform is a bit overwhelming when you try to create your own flow. Having said that you could leverage the Klaviyo academy to reduce the overwhelm.
Who is Klaviyo designed for?
In my opinion, because Klaviyo provides such comprehensive tools clients who will get the best value from the platform are companies that are already generating revenue with their ecommerce store or have many clients on an email list.
While they offer a free version for businesses with less than 250 email contacts, the features of Klaviyo are better suited for mid to large companies.
Getting Started with Klaviyo Email Marketing
Klaviyo offers an excellent step-by-step setup for all new subscribers.
As long as you follow the steps, you can’t go wrong.
You can even request a guided walk-through when signing up for the service.
You’ll be asked basic questions about your business and how you plan to use the platform. Once you’ve completed the signup process, you’ll be taken directly into your new Klaviyo account.
Next is integrating your site or ecommerce platform with Klaviyo. From Shopify to Magento and more, there are plenty of ways to connect your ecommerce stores, or sites with this powerful email marketing tool.
From there, you’re encouraged to create sign-up forms and email flows. Both for email and sms and these can be published directly on your site.
